Located in the heart of the Maremma Etrusca, less than one hour from Rome, the Camping Village Riva dei Tarquini is surrounded by a vast pine forest that extends over an area of 40 hectares with a sea front of more than a kilometer. The pine forest, sown in the fifties with the aim of preserving the agricultural crops by salt, spread in continuity with other adjacent pine forests surrounded by a vast agricultural poorly built and very well preserved from an environmental point of view and landscape.
Between the pine forest and the sea also remains connected to the original dune and better known as “tomboleto“ characterized by the presence of numerous herbaceous and shrub species typical of the “Mediterranean“ including the mastic tree, the oak, myrtle, lavender, juniper, tamarisk, rock rose, the beautiful sea lilies and many other plants which, together with pine trees, provide shelter to numerous wildlife species that is likely to meet during their stay in camp: the green woodpecker (which marks every year with its characteristic holes of the tower climbing adventure park), the horned owl, barn owl, squirrels, porcupines, hedgehogs, otters, badgers, foxes as well as a multitude of other species and migratory.
